Yes, it's also obvious that you've got Mexican roots by stating the obvious as　he clearly claimed to be from California.

Mexican food is not world-renown for a reason: it's not that refined, and therefore appeals to only a small demographic of people (primarily Californians, and Mexicans). To say that it is one of the "richest" foods in the world I assume you're talking about calorie count, right? It's quite easy for unhealthy food to taste good. However, if there are common "healthy" dishes in Mexican cuisine please do tell.

I'm glad Japenese people can have some Mexican flavor on Tokio streets, but it's very obvious that you are from California. Obviously Californians think they know better because there are a lot of Mexicans in California. But to say that its food is even better than Mexican food from Mexico? Most of Mexican food is not even known in California. Mexicans that have been to LA typically comment about how "water-down" Mexican food tastes overthere because, simply enough, it's Americanized. Which is not a bad thing, it has its own flavor, but it requires a lot of travel and research to compare it to a food that's consider one of the richest in the world in terms of variety of dishes and flavors. Of course to Californians, Mexican food just means tacos, burritos and quesadillas...and Tijuana.
